林丽德（沈殿霞饰）是香港顶级点心师傅兼店东。一次食物中毒事件中，林被认为是“点心刹手”。她决定离开伤心地，与子女移居往新加坡去，因为她祖父在哪儿遗留了半所房子给她，而其余半所的业主则是一名独立抚立养儿子的鱼蛋师傅培利（张永权饰）。因此，这两个火星撞地球，来自不同环境的家庭被逼在同一个屋下生活。

Lydia Lum (Lydia Sum) was a top dim sum chef cum restaurant owner back home in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, she was falsely labeled as a dim sum serial killer when 30 guests developed food poisoning at one of her catering parties. Lydia then decided to move to Singapore to escape from this fraces and claim her inheritance left by her grandfather- half of local fishball magnet, Billy B.Ong (Samuel Chong)’s house. Two of them together with their respective kids are now forced to live in the same house.
